Redeemed Years through Online Writing Opportunities

My name is John Kibuutu, I am 27 years old. I am a graduate, family man, and a father of one. I pursued a Bachelors degree in Development Studies from Mt Kenya University and graduated in 2015. I thought my graduating would be the beginning of a bright future. However, like so many other Kenyans, I suffered tarmacking and joblessness. This is before I discovered online work.

I am truly indebted and short of words after my salty journey turned sweet through online writing. I heard about online writing when I was a second-year student, but I had thought this to be a job primarily for those pursuing applied sciences (e.g. BSc Information Technology, Computer Science etc.), but later, through the Ajira Digital program, I realized that online work was for any devoted and willing individual.

After the week’s training at Cooperative University of Kenya (Meru campus), I landed at Daproim Africa as a transcriptionist, where I worked for two months before I successfully managed opening an “ACADEMIA RESEARCH” Account.

On September 2017, I was able to set up an office in my house and became dedicated as a full time “HOME-NETRENEUR”.

During the first month, I managed to write 17 orders which gave me KES 21,000 and I was very encouraged. In the second month, I got an order for a Research paper (29 pages at $9.48 per page) which gave me KES 28,041.84. I also managed 13 more orders and I made a total of KES 49,000 within one month.

This really encouraged me and I was able to find other colleagues whom sometimes I delegate to jobs when I am busy and not in a position to write. I am now training and encouraging other youths to venture into writing because I am now proud and able to do more towards my studies, and for my family.

Writing has changed the narrative of my story, from a jobless, rude young man, to a happy, busy netpreneur. It’s possible to redeem your time through online working. I am truly happy that I came across Ajira Digital. I encourage young Kenyans that online jobs are worthwhile opportunities.
